The Tahoe Daily Tribune did a nice job writing the highlights of the November 13th meeting.  Click here to view the Tahoe Daily Tribune article.  (They did have a couple of facts incorrect. They stated Trustees Wong and Callicrate missed the last 2 meetings. While Chair Wong was absent for one meeting, she called in for last week’s meeting. Trustee Callicrate was absent, however he was in attendance at the prior meeting. It was Trustee Dent who was absent from the October meeting.)
The process for filling the remainder of Trustee Horan’s term (one year), applications are due to the District by December 2.  At the time of writing this newsletter, there is confusion over the time and location of the public meeting(s) where the applicants will be interviewed. We expect the meeting(s) to be on December 17th and/or 18th. When the dates and locations are verified, we will send a notice to our newsletter readers. At the conclusion of the applicant interview meeting(s) Trustees Callicrate, Dent, Morris and Wong will vote. If there is a 2-2 vote, the Washoe County Commissioners will appoint a new Trustee.
