Over the next approximately year and a half, an EIS, as required by NEPA and the TRPA, and an EIR, as required by CEQA and the Lahontan Water Board, will be prepared for the Tahoe Keys Lagoons Aquatic Weed Control Methods Test. Opportunities for stakeholder and public participation to comment in the environmental review of the project will be available. These opportunities will be public noticed and announced in the Announcements section of this web page.

Submission of Comments
The Lahontan Water Board will accept written comments on the tentative Resolution,
tentative Permit, and MMRP. Written comments must be received no later than 5:00pm
on November 1, 2021. Comment letters may be submitted electronically, via email, with
the subject “Tahoe Keys Weeds Control Test” to the following e-mail address:
lahontan@waterboards.ca.gov, or submitted in hard copy to 2501 Lake Tahoe
Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150, to the attention of Russell Norman.
After the public comment period, the Lahontan Water Board will hold a public hearing to
receive oral comments and to consider adoption of the tentative resolution and tentative
permit. The exact date, location, and time of the hearing and adoption meeting is to be
determined and will be provided in a separate notice and on the project web page noted
above.
The tentative Resolution, tentative Permit, and related documents may be inspected
and copied at the Water Board’s office at 2501 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake
Tahoe, CA 96150 between 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon and 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
