SR 28 Improvements

The link provided below will take you to TTD’s website where the project is defined. In summary, the project includes:

  1. The construction of an employee parking area along Washoe County right of way on Ponderosa Ranch Road, two parking meters, and dumpster pad.
  2. The construction of a parking area adjacent to Sand Harbor State Park including parking/no-parking signage and the repair of user created trails and erosion.
  3. The construction of 0.8 mile extension of the Tahoe East Shore Trail including additional parking and parking kiosks at Chimney Beach and Secret Harbor, a pedestrian crossing bridge over Marlette Creek, retaining walls and a vista point.
