On Tuesday November 9th, the Washoe County School District Trustees approved the sale of the 6.41 acre lot (the Old Elementary School property) for $2.35M, below market value, to the Tahoe Transportation District (TTD). The vote was 6-1 with Trustee Jeff Church opposing the sale. Church requested to delay the vote because he felt the residents of Incline Village were unaware of the meeting. He also went on to state the community was largely opposed to the sale. Carl Hasty of TTD explained this is a rare find and will help reduce congestion in the community. He stated he would work closely with the community on the development of the mobility hub. Click here to read the complete article. Click here to view the Board Resolution.
